WrestleMania XX Main Event
As of this report, the current plan for the WrestleMania XX main event will consist of a match pitting The Rock and Mick Foley against 2 members of the Evolution. HHH won’t be involved in this match as he will most likely work a singles match involving the World Heavyweight Title. His opponent is still unclear and there are many names being tossed around, but Mick Foley definitely isn’t one of those.

Gift giveaway brings holiday joy
Hundreds of children line up Saturday in Fort Lauderdale to see Santa, the sheriff and The Rock — and get Christmas toys.

It all started with a screaming fire engine carrying the sheriff, Santa and a 255-pound wrestler.

The ones in diapers screamed for ”Santaaah.” Just about everyone else came to check out The Rock, WWE wrestler turned action film star.

”Not many people know this — but his real name is Dwayne Johnson,” 12-year-old Luis Armenteros confided to a visitor.

Luis, of Pembroke Pines, was there because his dad works for the Broward Sheriff’s Office, sponsor of the 11th annual Christmas gift giveaway.

The giveaway has become a celebrated event. Hundreds of families were already lined up outside the Ron Cochran Public Safety Building in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday when The Rock arrived.

”Stay off drugs and the future is yours,” the star of The Rundown and The Scorpion King told his audience.

While Billy the Marlin worked the crowd, volunteers took inventory of $25,000 worth of toys, which came from private donations, money raised through raffles and corporate sponsors.

Inside, toys — more than 5,000 strong — were blocked off from the front of the room with yellow police tape. The items were organized by age and gender for ease of distribution. Boxes of Candy Land stacked six feet high competed for space with the Easy Bake Ovens and Lite Brite sets. Volunteers were squeezed inside a world of giant Elmos, Barbies wearing SpongeBob SquarePants and a neon yellow pick-up truck with “pulsating pistons, rumbles and shakes.”

When the rush of kids began, a BSO officer shouted the stats: ”Boy, 6.” “Girl, 3.”

The helpers scurried to find the right toy.

Sometimes, they chose wrong.

A circumspect Welton Thomas, 8, of Fort Lauderdale turned down a red truck proffered by The Rock himself. With dried tears on his cheeks, he pointed to what he really wanted: a policeman action figure.

The Rock obliged. He called the day “humbling.”

Most kids just stared at the star. No words. They left, clutching signed glossies along with their holiday prize.

”He’s the best one I like,” explained Frederick Anderson, 15, of Fort Lauderdale.

The teenager also won a bike — something awarded to every 50th kid in line.

Anderson, who didn’t have a bike, said it was cool to win one. He had plans to ride that afternoon.

Foley & Rock to team up at WM 20?
There is word going around that the WWE is planning to have The Rock & Mick Foley team up at Wrestlemania 20 to take on two members of Evolution. There was talk about Foley possibly going up against Triple H, but the WWE decided against it.

The Rock vs. Cena at WrestleMania XX?Ever since The Rock made the announcement that he will be back in WWE in time for WrestleMania XX, a lot of speculation has been drawn as to who his opponent will be. Several people have suggested that John Cena would be a perfect opponent for Rock, however, he has said that he only wants to wrestle new opponents to help get them over in the company. However, this still seems odd why he would not want to work with Cena, who is definitely one of the top younger talents in WWE

Mick Foley Interview
-The new Co-General Manager of RAW comes to the ring with clipboard in hand. Foley took over as co-GM of RAW with the intention of making things right. If Ric Flair gets involved in the Randy Orton/Rob Van Dam match at Armageddon, that wouldn’t be right. So Mick appoints himself as the special guest referee for that match. Now, on to other matters. The Steve Austin petition has over half a million signatures so far, but Foley says we need more, so he’s brought another petition to…. music hits and here come Rene Dupree and Rob Conway. Foley says he’s out here to make things right? Is humiliating them on live TV last week right? Dupree says Foley and the U.S. are jokes. The French are better lovers and better fighters than Americans. Conway says Bischoff has assured them their jobs are safe, so now they’re going to humiliate Foley by making Mick salute the French flag. Foley likes French fries, French toast, even French’s mustard, but he doesn’t like La Resistance. If they want to beat Foley’s ass, have at it, but he’s not saluting the French flag. La Resistance moves in for the kill and…IF YA SUH-MELLLLLLLL…it’s The Rock! The crowd goes berserk, as does Ross. Rocky takes the stick and addresses La Resistance. The Rock came here tonight to surprise his friend Mick Foley and the millions and millions of The Rock’s fans. The Rock is confused though. He knows Mick Foley, he knows the people, he knows Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler, he knows Lillian Garcia, he even knows Marty the cross-dressing cameraman, but he does not know La Resistance. Who in the blue hell are they? We’re…It doesn’t matter who they are! The Rock has one question, how’s your lips? (Rock’s t-shirt says the same thing). If you keep running your mouths, The Rock and Mick Foley are going to slap the lips ring off your faces. One more thing…No, No, No says Dupree. He and Conway are going to win the tag team titles this Sunday at Armageddon, what does Rocky think of that? Rock knows La Resistance won’t win the titles because a) they’re French and b) they suck. If the French army had gone to Iraq, they would have surrendered. The only thing strong about the French army is their body odor. If La Resistance wants a piece of Rocky and Foley, they can have it. Foley and Rock bicker over whether it’s Rock and Sock or Sock and Rock and that gives the Frenchmen a chance to attack. Dupree tosses Rock over the top and La Resistance corner Foley for lots of kicking. Rock comes back in and cleans house. Rock Bottom to Dupree! People’s Elbow to Dupree! Spinebuster to Conway! Foley’s Elbow to Conway! If you suh-mellllll… They celebrate and pose, but Rocky takes time to sign the Stone Cold petition along the way.

Ross and Lawler recap what just happened in the last segment.

In the GM’s office, Eric Bischoff and Jonathan Coachman watch the replay. Bischoff has already had The Rock escorted from the building and he changes the Goldberg/Kane match for later tonight into a Lumberjack Match. And who will pick the lumberjacks, you ask? Why, Bischoff will handpick them himself.
