Ok if you don’t want to be spoiled about Be Cool then don’t read all of this post. Big thanks to Merenge Lady:

Dear Rock fans,
Tonight I had the opportunity to go to an advance screening of the movie “Be Cool” of course co-starring “The Rock.”
If you hate spoilers, do not read this email any further. However, since all viewers had to complete a detailed survey and questionaire after the movie, certain scenes probably will be deleted or added based on the answers and suggestions.
One thing I can tell you right off the back, there were a lot of people in the theater laughing at “The Rock’s” scenes. TOTALLY FUCKIN’ HILARIOUS!

At first “The Rock” didn’t have much to say in the beginning, but as the movie progressed on he had more lines.
The Rock plays “Elliot” the gay bodyguard to “Raja” who works for Nicki
Here are the scenes, best to my memory:
1) 1st scene: “Chili” meets “Linda” while performing in a cheesie fo sheezie bar, while “Raja” her manager and “Elliot” pimps “Linda” to keep performing
2) 2nd scene: “Chili” gives “Elliot” a karate chop to the neck when “Raja” tells “Elliot” to take “Chili” down after he has told them that “Linda” is no longer working for them….Chili asks Elliot if he is an actor and that he could take him far and get him an audition….Chili promises to call him….
3) 3rd scene: “Elliot” trys to convince “Chili” that he is an actor and gives him the “people’s eyebrow” [movie audience goes nuts when he does this] (mind you that after “Linda” meets “Chili” she tells him about “Raja” and “Elliot” who is gay and believes he’s an actor and can do this thing with his eyebrow
4) Raja teases Elliot and Elliot begins chasing him around the car after Elliot stops the car after Raja calls him a “fag” …LOL
5) Elliot assists Raja in killing the hitman; Elliot brings out this “Red” baseball bat…I put much emphasis on the color “Red” when you see the movie you’ll see why…I guess it’s a gay color
6) Elliot breaks into “Edie’s” house; this is The Rock’s acting chops at work here; Elliot has put a video of him singing the “cowboy song in cowboy get up” in the VCR, Chili and Edie walks into the house and they are like “What?!” Then Elliot jumps out and starts swinging this red bat at Chili and misses, Chili takes bat and wacks Elliot with it…Chili makes Elliot apologizes for his bad attitude….FUNNY shit….anyway…Elliot proceeds to tell Chili that he has a prepared monologue….ROTFLMAO..that he will like him to see…dig this …its lines from the cheerleading movie “Bring It On”…LMAO…he actually portrays both people the antagonist and protagonist. …in good ole’ gay fashion…(snapping fingers and head going side to side)…Chili makes a suggestion that he shouldn’t portray both people and should try picking a line a “MAN” would say …LOL …while this is happening the video is playing in the background and Elliot pauses it on this one frame that make him look so silly gay (This is my favorite scene)..Elliot asks Chili when is he going to call him for an audition…
7) Elliot is in this clothing store “Boot Barn” trying on a baby blue polyester suit with what looks like red alligator skin boots….think 70′s…..Elliot is spinning around like he’s a Temptation and slapping his ass…ROTFLMAO….he spanks his own ass several times…in my mind I kept saying let me spank dat ass!
8) Raja visits Elliot’s pad…OMG…the decor is so gay and it has Hawaiian shirts and theme all over the place…what tripped me out was a Hello Kitty sitting on a table with a cowboy hat on it….the drapes were of Hawaiian material….his pad was so gay I just laughed so hard…also next to the phone are his acting headshots which are gay wanna be macho…it’s The Rock meets The Village people pictorial shots…Elliot is not at home…so Raja takes it upon himself to check Elliots answering machine messages….Chili had left a message that Elliot had an audition on a Tuesday …..(later in the movie Elliot gets the same message on his two-way pager and finds out that Raja backstabbed him)
9) Raja and Elliot are at the record label that Nicki runs and they are scheming to get back at Nicki when Raja tells Elliot to go out and get some Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles (popular eating joint that a lot of rappers go to in L.A., personally I have never eaten there, but hear the chicken and waffles combo is damn finger lickin’ good)…then Elliot tells Raja why he loves the chicken …and I quote “You know why I love Roscoe’s chicken drumsticks…because I stick the whole thing in my mouth and suck all the meat off the bone” …again the theater audience is laughing their asses off…
10) The next to last scene is Elliot dancing during the Linda performance at the award show…the dance itself was great…it was Elliot’s hair in french braids from front to back that looked funny and so ghetto fabulous…
11) During the rolling of credits they show clips of all cast members doing their own thing while dancing…when they get to Elliot in the Boot Barn store…that shit was funny and it’s the last shot…people laughed on that too..
Like I said these scenes could be cut or kept in and more scenes probably added…
The questionaire asked things like: What do you think of the begining, end, story, characters, why did you want to see it (of course I put “The Rock”) etc.
Hope I didn’t spoil it for ya too much..If you didn’t see Get Shorty ….you don’t in order to enjoy “Be Cool”
I’m glad they are putting this out for preview audiences to see so that the bad reviews from the asshole movie editors of newspaper and magazine media can get a swift kick in the ass from “THE PEOPLE” who like the movie. I’m quite sure they will preview it for NY people , maybe Atlanta, and perhaps somewhere in the Midwest, so look for it..If you attend movies on a regular basis like I do you’ll run into the Nielson Marketing people who pass out movie passes to a movie before it’s national release….I just happen to get lucky going to an AMC theater to see “Team America” funny stuff…and they were there passing out passes to reserve your seat at the screening….
P.S. As a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences I had a chance to see the movie “RAY” comedian Jamie Foxx portraying Ray Charles on Tuesday. This movie is awesome and heartfelt. Definitely a Oscar winner and Jamie did a damn good job. There are some things I didn’t know about Ray Charles, but loved his music. This autobiographic movie was surprising damn good. A definite must see for young and old.
