John Woo Remaking French Thrillers Source: Variety May 11, 2005
John Woo and Terence Chang’s Lion Rock Productions has teamed with France’s StudioCanal to develop modern-day remakes of three vintage French thrillers, reports Variety. The films are Honor Among Thieves (1968), starring Charles Bronson and Alain Delon; Rider on the Rain (1969), with Bronson and Marlene Jobert; and The Prone Gunman (1982), featuring Delon as a hitman. The films will be packaged as “The Thriller Collection,” which could grow to include further remakes from StudioCanal’s 3,000-strong movie library. Woo said he may direct “Thieves,” which is expected to go into production later this year, himself. His next film will be Paramount’s remake of 1970′s The Red Circle. After that, he plans to helm Chinese historical epic The Battle of the Red Cliff, based on true events from 203 A.D.A.D. Woo recently left Universal’s Spy-Hunter project over scheduling conflicts.

Congratulations Lela you are our May 2012 DJ fan of the month!
This is why she is Dwayne Fan of The Month:
TALOFA LAVA! I watched Dwayne Johnson during the Attitude Era and I became a huge fan. One of my favorite matches is when he wrestles Mankind in an empty area for the WWF Champion belt. Even though he lost it was one of the funniest and creative matches ever. From being a wrestler to an actor his story inspires me because he is the result that with hard work anything is possible. He had many setbacks in his life but he strives and perseveres in achieving his goals. I am a huge fan because he stays true to himself and a very humble person. I love the fact that he represents his cultures and being Samoan he shows the respect, faith, and pride of our people. Overall, Dwayne is unstoppable and will inspire future generations to come. TEAM BRING IT! ALL DAY EVERYDAY!
