Ah, the suffering some actresses have to endure. On Mandy Moore’s first day filming the futuristic thriller Southland Tales, one of the initial scenes she shot was a romantic moment with her costar The Rock (a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson), who plays her husband in the movie. “I had to kiss him on the first day of work,” she says. “It was okay to ease myself in by making out with someone on the first day. He’s very handsome and he’s the nicest guy.”

Action man DWAYNE ‘THE ROCK’ JOHNSON has taken his new movie DOOM to the top of the US box-office charts in a very disappointing weekend at the nation’s cinemas.

The movie adaptation of a hit video game is the only film to make more than $10 million (GBP5.5 million) at the box-office.
