Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, is joined by his ex-wife Dany and daughter Simone, 6 1/2, at the Congressional Awards 2008 Gold Medal Reception in Washington D.C., on Thursday.

The 36-year-old professional wrestler turned Hollywood actor was honored with the Horizon Award, which recognizes people who help expand opportunities and set a good example for young Americans.

Johnson is of Samoan descent and runs an organization called DJ Rock Foundation that helps to educate children worldwide about nutrition and physical fitness.

Even though Johnson officially divorced his ex-wife just last month, he mentioned her in his acceptance speech, referring to her as, “my beautiful partner, Dany.”

For those of you wondering about the red lapel pin on his jacket it is a Red Cross pin because Dwayne is also a member of the Red Cross Celebrity Cabinet

Dwayne appeared on Leno to talk about Get Smart but he also told us about a scary flight from Vegas. He also talked about Kissing Steve Carell in detail this time and who knew his favorite 3 shows were Family guy, America’s most wanted and Extreme Home Makeovers!

Hollyscoop was at the red carpet premiere of Get Smart and they had a chance to speak with Dwayne briefly but this video is funny they have 10 secs to tell us why we should see Get Smart!

On a side note I saw Get Smart on Monday night because I won 4 tickets off the radio to a special screening and you guys have to see this movie. Dwayne’s character is so funny. I was laughing the entire time. Steve Carell had me in tears. I know a lot of people thought the trailer was the whole movie but it is not. I had to drive like an hour to the special screening theater but it was worth it. Can’t wait till Friday to see it again!

Anne Hathaway did a promotional shoot for Get Smart and it also included her co-stars Dwayne and Steve! These pics are really nice I love what Dwayne is wearing and the smile on his face is just priceless!
