Finally some confirmation for Dwayne in Fast Five. Posted a video interview he did with MTV.com talking about his role in the film.

The summer has barely begun, it’s true, but we’re already looking ahead to next summer and the joyous celluloid fruits that it will bear. One of the more delicious-looking offerings is “Fast Five,” which reunites “The Fast and the Furious” stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in another high-speed, custom car-fueled adventure. They’ll be joined in next year’s movie by a brand new character, a tough-as-nails lawman tasked with bringing the outlaws in, played by the always-entertaining Dwayne Johnson. MTV’s Josh Horowitz spoke to the actor recently at the Spike Guy’s Choice Awards and he managed to squeeze out a few new details about the character and his role in the story.
“We’re gonna introduce a new character into the franchise,” he said. “A really unique U.S. Marshal who is hired to hunt and track down Vin Diesel and Paul Walker.” Unique? What the heck does that mean? Continue reading »

Hey fans since it’s summer and kids are out of school, I thought you all might be interested in an opportunity to see Dwayne Johnson’s animated film “Planet 51” in theaters for free. It’s open to kids and adults sponsored by Regal Theaters:

We have planned a fun-filled summer of select movies for kids and parents. Regal has proudly offered this free summer fun since 1991. Oh, did we mention that it’s FREE! Selected G or PG movies start at 10:00am every Tuesday and Wednesday during the festival. Tickets and seating are first-come, first-served and are limited to theatre capacity. The Free Family Film Festival is safe, lots of fun and a great way for kids to spend a weekday morning in the summer.
