“one word…WOW! I’m genuinely blown away at all your amazing questions…
thousands and thousands of smart, funny, inspiring and heart felt questions…
from my heart to yours..you inspire me..THANK YOU family.
your questions were so great that I found I couldn’t just answer one – so, for the first week I’ll answer multiple..I tried to pick a few questions that represented many of the questions posted…
DJ on Demand..here we go..lets have some fun..
- Laurie Kirkland – “who has been the most influential and inspiring person in your life and why?”
..my life has been blessed with so many inspiring and influential people that its hard to name just one. I have always been strongly inspired by the people I have around me and in my life. Bottom line – my FAMILY.
Why? ..for the endless love and support we have for each other…there for each other when we trip and fall down…there to encourage each other to get back up and walk again…thats what we do..and thats what family does..influences and inspires. ..thank you for the question Laurie! Continue reading »

Hey fans Dwayne is introducing a new feature called DJ ON DEMAND on his facebook page starting today! Check out the post and get to the page to start asking a question:
Yesterday, we took you behind the scenes of our visit to the Atlanta, Georgia set of Fast Five, which opens in theaters on April 29th. The film is the fifth installment of the popular streetcar series, The Fast and the Furious, and features the return of original stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Jordana Brewster. It also features returning actors from all of the films in the franchise including Sung Kang from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris from 2 Fast 2 Furious, Matt Schulze from The Fast and the Furious, and Gal Gadot from Fast & Furious.
When we last saw Brian and Mia, they were breaking Dom out of custody at the end of Fast & Furious. When we pick up with the characters in the new film, they will once again be on the wrong side of the law and now hiding in Rio. When a chance at freedom falls in their laps they decide to take on a risky job that will require putting together a team of elite racers, comprised of characters from the previous movies, in order to pull it off. But they soon realize that the only way they will ever really be free is by confronting the evil businessman who wants them dead. Also hot on their trail is a federal agent named Luke Hobbs, played by Dwayne Johnson (Faster), who is assigned to hunt down Dom and Brian. But as Hobbs gets closer to his goal, he begins to realize that not everything is as it seems and no one can be trusted. Continue reading »

With Shawn Michaels being announced as the first big name to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April, WWE officials are already talking about possible candidates to headline the Class of 2012. Two names in particular that have come up for next year’s Hall of Fame class are Trish Stratus, given that it will likely take place in her hometown of Toronto, and Hollywood megastar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
The idea with Rock is it would be mark ten years after his memorable WrestleMania match with Hulk Hogan, which also took place in Toronto. The Rock and Trish Stratus worked together during their time in WWE, including a memorable moment where the two shared a kiss backstage.
Many people may remember that The Rock was at a Hall of Fame ceremony not too long ago when he inducted his father, “Soulman” Rocky Johnson, into the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame in the year 2008. He has not ever been inducted himself, though.
Paul Walker’s career has been defined by the Fast and the Furiousfranchise. While the actor has been in a number of other films, he is most commonly recognized as Brian O’Conner, the former cop who committed career suicide to have the time of his life with a group of renegade street racers.
The only Fast and the Furious film Walker did not star in was Tokyo Drift, but his character is as integral to the overall story as any of the other Fast and the Furious alums. We sat down with Walker on the set of Fast Five and discussed the past, present and future of the franchise.
After a short discussion regarding his experience with Twitter and how co-star Tyrese Gibson has taught him “the ways of the Force,” we got into the Fast Five talk. Continue reading »
‘Fast and the Furious’ franchise star Vin Diesel talked to us on the ‘Fast Five’ set about acting methods, the future of the franchise and working with Dwayne Johnson.
Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto is one of two characters in Fast Five who has made an appearance in four of the (now) five Fast and Furious franchise films. In the fifth installment, Dom will lead an even bigger team and face tougher foes.
Diesel’s stake in the Fast and Furious franchise is unrivaled. He jumped on as a Fast & Furious producer and has explored the possibilities of doing a sixth movie.
Diesel’s career has been defined by more than just the action-racing franchise. The actor has established relatively iconic genre movie roles as Xander Cage (xXx) and Riddick (Chronicles of Riddick). But ever since regaining control of the franchise with Fast & Furious, Diesel has put himself back in the driver’s seat
After a long day of fighting Dwayne Johnson (as Luke Hobbs), Vin Diesel sat down for 30 minutes with myself and other journalists on the set of Fast Five in Atlanta, GA. Needless to say, he was bloodied and sweaty from a day of combat. During other interviews, the two heavy-hitters could be heard grunting, yelling, screaming and crashing into tables in the background. The fight sure sounded epic – but time will tell how they translate to film. Continue reading »
Dwayne Johnson talks about playing Marshal Luke Hobbs in ‘Fast Five’, fighting Vin Diesel and even the possibility of him joining ‘The Expendables 2? cast.
Dwayne Johnson has worked hard to shake “The Rock” off of his professional name. We will always remember him as the Jabroni-crushing wrestler, but Johnson has committed himself to an acting career and his persistence is paying off.
Now, Johnson stars in Fast Five and we had the pleasure of talking to him about his career and the new role.
Johnson is fresh off playing a man on a vengeance quest in Faster, which brought him back to the action genre he fits so comfortably within. There is no question that he is at his best in films like The Rundown, Walking Tall, or Gridiron Gang. In Fast Five, Johnson takes the role of action star to another level.
He looks like a different person with the extra muscle (no, seriously), a shaved head and a thick goatee, but to play U.S. DSS Special Agent Luke Hobbs, Johnson would get the opportunity to do more than just change up his look. Finally, we get to see a formidable opponent challenge Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto in hand-to-hand combat. Yet, while Hobbs is a ruthless federal agent, he apparently shows up with a little bit of heart as well.
Johnson walked into the large trailer in which a number of journalists were waiting for him. If you think Johnson is big onscreen, you should see him in person. He kicked off the interview by confirming he is currently at his heaviest since his wrestling days – before selflessly introducing himself to each journalist one-by-one. There is no question, Dwayne Johnson’s testosterone is only rivaled by his professionalism.
Once the introductions were taken care of, Johnson explained how his decision to join Fast Five came to fruition and touched upon his string of family-friendly roles.
Dwayne Johnson: “It was an opportunity to work with Universal again, the studio that I started my career with. I did my first four movies with Universal. Always like their management, their executives, how they approach their business and this was an opportunity to work with Universal and be a part of a very successful franchise and an opportunity to work with Vin [Diesel]. I’ve known Vin for a long time an we’ve always talked about doing something together, but as long as it was right and wasn’t forced. This felt like the right opportunity to create a formidable adversary for him and one that was believable and that we could get on screen and rumble and dance and have some fun.Continue reading »
We travel to Atlanta, Georgia to speak with actor Paul Walker, director Justin Lin, and picture car coordinator Dennis McCarthy about the explosive new film
It’s time to rev up your engines and get ready for another explosive chapter of the extremely popular film franchise, The Fast and the Furious. The series began in 2001 with it’s first chapter, The Fast and the Furious, and soon followed with more installments including 2 Fast 2 Furious, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Fast & Furious. The fifth chapter, Fast Five, is scheduled for release on April 29th. To date the series has grossed almost $1 billion dollars worldwide at the box office and has made it’s stars, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, household names.
But the franchise has hit some potholes on its road to success. The first was when star Vin Diesel declined to return for 2 Fast 2 Furious, which left Paul Walker with new addition Tyrese Gibson. The franchise then received a facelift when Better Luck Tomorrow director Justin Lin was hired to breathe fresh air into the franchise with the third chapter, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. He moved the setting to Tokyo and the film featured an entirely new cast including his Better Luck Tomorrow star Sung Kang. The film also featured Diesel reprising his role in a brief cameo at the end, which bridged the three movies together. Fans were delighted when it was announced that both Diesel and Walker would return for the forth chapter, Fast & Furious, which was directed by Lin. Kang also reprised his role from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift in Fast & Furious, even though his character died at the end of the third movie. It then became apparent that chronologically, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift takes place at the end of the series, after Fast & Furious and it’s direct sequel, the upcoming Fast Five. Wilmington is star dazed and I have been trying to keep up with any news coming out of the area. So I have posted a video of a fan talking about the filming there and she met Dwayne as well.

WILMINGTON – Fans hope to catch a glimpse of major movie stars and check out the set as filming of “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” gets underway in Wilmington. The film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Michael Caine is the first to shoot in the city in three years.
Carol Fort didn’t mind one bit that the Journey two production invaded her entire neighborhood with massive trailers, set lights, stunt equipment and wires weaving across the lawn on Thursday and Friday.
For Fort, it’s such a thrill to have part of the movie filmed on her block that she popped up a sign in front of her house welcoming “The Rock” along with the rest of the cast and crew.
“This is the most exciting thing we’ve had on our street since the last hurricane,” said Fort.
Fort watched for hours from her window as the crew filmed stunts in a neighbors yard.
“They did the scenes where they jumped the bike into the neighbors pool and we could see that from the window,” remembered Fort.
She felt like it was too good to be true when she got a chance to meet “the Rock”.
“He’s a very nice looking young man, easy on the eyes and was most gracious to us,” said Fort.
Other fans were out early to wait hoping to catch a glimpse of the stars. Continue reading »

Congratulations Sabrina you are our February 2012 DJ fan of the month!
This is why she is Dwayne Fan of The Month:
‘I have been a fan of The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, since i have been 9 years old. Now being 24, i have grown to appreciate and look up to him not only as a role model , but as someone that i consider a HUGE influence of who i am today. I used to go to RAW and Smackdown as a young girl, crying over just being in the same room as him. My family would know to buy my only his merchandise for holidays and special events. To this day, people still admire me for my dedication as a fan, and my willingness to one day meet him in person. I dont even know what i would do if i did, i know someone would have to catch me when i fall, becuase i know i would be hitting the floor!”
