Rock Responds to Cena in Buffalo New York via satellite on RAW | 2.28.11
- Back from the break and we see highlights from John Cena’s rap against The Rock last week. We go live via satellite to The Rock at his home in Los Angeles. Rock’s music hits in the arena and the crowd pops. We see The Rock at home with his back turned. He’s mocking Cena, the rapper. Rock turns around and is wearing Cena’s hat and pendant. Rock mocks Cena trying to rap.
Rock rips off the Cena gear and goes to his normal self. Rock talks about the electricity in the air and says that after all that happened, Cena chose to rap to him. You address me in the form of rap, he says. Rock mocks Cena’s look and mannerisms some more. Rock reminds us how this all started, when Cena called him a liar in public when Rock said he loves WWE. Rock says Cena insulted him and his family. Rock says his love for WWE is endless. Rock says his blood is WWE and talks about his grandfather and father, both Hall of Famers.
Rock says he knew if he made it in Hollywood, that meant one thing – he opened the door for WWE and their stars, paved the way for them. Rock says Cena is going to pay now for running his mouth. The Rock says nobody brings it like him. Rock says he is hosting WrestleMania but will be addressing Cena sooner than he thinks. Rock says his spirit is everywhere. He teases being in Buffalo tonight and continues with his promo, getting the crowd involved. The Rock says he’s back to scratch a major itch, so enjoy your Fruity Pebbles you yabba-dabba-bitch. Rock says Cena will smell what he’s cooking as his music hits and the crowd goes crazy.

I have added 7+ HQ scans of The Rock from the Wrestlemania XXVII magazine special. As expected he was not really shown much or highlighted at all in the magazine despite the numerous amount of wrestlemanias he has sold out and headlined but oh well a little is better than none. I would have been disappointed had I bought the magazine since it says every superstar past and present is featured….big thanks to scandids for the scans!

Ok I keep getting a lot of emails asking me when The Rock will come on Raw again. Honestly ppl I don’t know I am in the dark just like you are and I am not getting my hopes high for anything. But I did find some news/rumors about any future appearances:

The latest on The Rock’s return to WWE is that company officials want to keep his appearances ‘special’ and obviously don’t want to overexpose him prior to WrestleMania 27. According to sources, The Rock is expected to appear on at least one more RAW broadcast prior to WrestleMania to help push the Cena-Miz match. It’ll happen as we get closer to the big event.
The Rock tweeted the following after the Triple H-Undertaker confrontation on RAW: “loved seeing both Undertaker and Triple H return..what incredible crowd reactions for both..very happy for them – epic match!”
Numerous people backstage believe The Rock is extremely happy to be back in WWE after seven years. He’s told people he’s missed being in front of the live crowds.
The Rock’s mother also stated the following last week: “I was so proud of him. It was emotional to me, as his music hit and he appeared. It was flashbacks through the past, through three generations in the business we’ve loved throughout. By the time he hit that ring and took that mic and I saw the goose bumps on his arms, I knew he was in it. The connection between him and the fans was incredible. Like he had never left.”

TNA star Hulk Hogan recently did an interview with Peter Rosenberg of HOT 97 FM. Hogan hyped the Impact taping in Fayetteville, NC being held tonight, and had the following to say concerning The Rock’s return to WWE:
“That is one of the reasons me and Vince McMahon don’t get along because we disagree on wrestling theory. He’s a genius. He has done a great job keeping the business alive and keeping it rolling.”
When asked if there was something Hogan didn’t like about Rock’s return: “Yeah, yeah. There is certain ways to do things. You know, for The Rock to come out and say, we’ve gone from Austin 3:16 to The People’s Champion to all of a sudden, you can’t see me (in whiny voice). They spent so much time building John Cena up. If it was me I would have said, from the Austin era to The People’s Champion era to John Cena. And I just gotta know in my heart whose the better man. There is a way to really build somebody up. You know.
All of a sudden in three or four seconds he had the whole arena screaming that Cena sucks. Sometimes I just don’t understand the philosophy because John Cena is going to be there all the time. And even though The Rock said he was back, he was only back for one day. He isn’t going to be there wrestling every single week like John Cena is, you know, holding it down and keeping it real. All that stuff is scripted, they have Stephanie McMahon and writers telling The Rock exactly what to say. I just didn’t understand why they wanted to destroy Cena so quickly.”

John Cena took to twitter in response to the fans asking him about The Rock. Based on his response I guess we are gonna find out what he has to say on Monday Night Raw. I don’t know if The Rock will be there or not but I can’t wait to see what Cena says.
@JohnCena
Elimination chamber. All week u guys are asking me bout the rock. I was gonna let him slide. But now I don’t know? What u guys think?
Holy response! Well then. Looks like this will be another very memorable week in the wwe.
As we exclusively reported last week here on WrestlingINC.com, WWE went to great lengths to keep the return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson a secret.
The WWE production staff had been told all week long that the guest host was Justin Bieber. Others in WWE creative were told it was Bob Barker. The script for RAW last week called for a “Leave it to Bieber” segment. That’s what the WWE production team was told to come up with and did.
As everyone knows, Johnson wound up doing the total opposite as he teased a return on Facebook and then later launched an official Twitter account. About an hour before RAW went live, he posted a photo of himself filming a WWE promo backstage.
Johnson was also kept in a secluded dressing room backstage until his segment began. He also arrived to the building late in the evening.
Congratulations Sabrina you are our February 2012 DJ fan of the month!
This is why she is Dwayne Fan of The Month:
‘I have been a fan of The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, since i have been 9 years old. Now being 24, i have grown to appreciate and look up to him not only as a role model , but as someone that i consider a HUGE influence of who i am today. I used to go to RAW and Smackdown as a young girl, crying over just being in the same room as him. My family would know to buy my only his merchandise for holidays and special events. To this day, people still admire me for my dedication as a fan, and my willingness to one day meet him in person. I dont even know what i would do if i did, i know someone would have to catch me when i fall, becuase i know i would be hitting the floor!”
