WWE Tough Enough – 5/23/2011

We’re back at the house, and Christina is arriving on crutches. Trish is helping her get back upstairs. AJ apologizes to Christina, stating that it was his fault that she got hurt. Christina says it’s fine and not to worry about it.

We’re back at the training area, and Stone Cold introduces them to The Rock. Rock has them get in the ring, where they will be working with Rocky himself. Just a couple lock ups and arm drags, the usual stuff. He’s worked with Andy, Luke, Jeremiah, and AJ without a problem, and Christina can’t work because of her ankle. The Rock tells them all that they did fine.
Now (Rock is still here) each of the contestants will be cutting a promo against Big Bill himself. Jeremiah cuts a twinkie joke, then calls himself “Daddy Rigs”. It wasn’t too bad, and they all confer amongst each other and they said it was fine. Luke is at it now, and his promo is a little more on the serious side. The judges say it was a little off, but nothing too bad. Christina is at it now. Bill doesn’t look very impressed. It’s like the words were all there, but there didn’t seem to be any emotion. The Rock says she needed to “Bring It” (which made me smile), and he’s not sure if she did that. Not the most impressive. Continue reading »

Presenters and attendees include “Cowboys & Aliens” director Jon Favreau and star Harrison Ford; funnymen and “30 Minutes or Less” co-stars Danny McBride and Aziz Ansari; “Captain America” himself, Chris Evans; new “Transformers” hottie Rosie Huntington-Whiteley; Dwayne Johnson; A-list athletes like Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Jon Jones; and Jennifer Aniston, who will be honored with the coveted Decade of Hotness Award. Many more will be announced in the coming weeks.
Fan voting for this year’s nominees is being held at GuysChoice.Spike.com, and for the first time ever, fans are able to vote for selected Guys Choice categories on Spike’s Facebook page. Facebook voting features the following categories: Biggest Ass Kicker, Holy Grail of Hot, Unstoppable Jock, Guy of the Year, Comedy MVP and Outstanding Literary Achievement.

In a distant second, Fast Five took a 57 percent dive but continued its impressive foreign run with an estimated $25 million. That brought its total to $320 million, passing Rio as 2011′s top movie overseas (a title which should belong to Pirates by Friday or Saturday). Worldwide, it became the year’s first movie to cross the $500 million worldwide mark.
