In the last weekend of April, Fast Five opened to a huge $86.2 million, ensuring that we would see a sixth entry in the Fast and Furious franchise sooner as opposed to later, particularly given that star Vin Diesel and producer Neal H. Moritz have publicly stated their intent to continue vigorously milking this cash cow. Universal Studios has announced a release date for as-yet untitled Fast and Furious 6, so presuming we survive the imminent Mayan apocalypse, we can look forward to more automotive mayhem on May 24, 2013.
Variety reports that director Justin Lin is set to return, along with stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Dwayne Johnson. The status of planned spin-off for Johnson’s character, Hobbs, is unknown. Just after the last installment’s big opening, Lin made it clear that he would be back for another round, saying, “After this big weekend, we’re going forward,” assuring a concerned moviegoing public, “It’s pretty much 100 percent. It’s going to happen.”
He also said that the action would shift to a new global location, after Fast Five took place in Rio de Janeiro.
Additionally, Universal signed Fast Five screenwriter Chris Morgan to a two year contract that will include another Fast sequel. Of course, all of this is no surprise, since the last film included a post-credits scene clearly laying out a narrative direction for the continued adventures of Dom, Brian, Mia, Hobbs, and the whole gang. Now, though, we can all circle May 24, 2013 on our calendars.
Eva Mendes had better be in this, she had better have a ton of scenes with Dwayne, and they better hook up at the end. If I can’t jump him myself, at least let me watch a lucky lady get the job done!
Amazing how things happen. I agree with Vin Diesel, we must take the size of five and successful fast break with a sixth sequence. The cast is terrific, so let it happen again with this class, especially our beloved Dwayne Johnson! Kiss Super Friends … Thanks to all!
Ps: As for the wait … we have to get used to our hearts. But when nostalgia hits, watch movies helps the big guy and peep the site Nette kkkk!
Kiss!
I am glad they are taking a break so they can properly shoot the next film. But never fear DJ fans I’m sure he has plenty to keep him busy and keep himself in the public eye until then. And as Liza said we’ll just stick to our favorite website for “sightings”.

I’m so excited about the 6th installment. I am confident that it will be another block buster hit with such great writers, director, cast and crew members. Showtime

Congratulations Lela you are our May 2012 DJ fan of the month!
This is why she is Dwayne Fan of The Month:
TALOFA LAVA! I watched Dwayne Johnson during the Attitude Era and I became a huge fan. One of my favorite matches is when he wrestles Mankind in an empty area for the WWF Champion belt. Even though he lost it was one of the funniest and creative matches ever. From being a wrestler to an actor his story inspires me because he is the result that with hard work anything is possible. He had many setbacks in his life but he strives and perseveres in achieving his goals. I am a huge fan because he stays true to himself and a very humble person. I love the fact that he represents his cultures and being Samoan he shows the respect, faith, and pride of our people. Overall, Dwayne is unstoppable and will inspire future generations to come. TEAM BRING IT! ALL DAY EVERYDAY!
Please consider donating to help keep the site up and running with news, photos, hosting, layouts and of course plenty of Dwayne. Your donations are very much appreciated!
