According to THR:

Susan Sarandon is in negotiations to join Dwayne Johnson in Snitch, the action thriller which Ric Roman Waugh is writing and directing for Exclusive Media, Participant Media and Imagenation Abu Dhabi.

The script centers on a suburban father who is hit hard when his teenage son is sentenced to 30 years under mandatory minimum drug laws. In order to reduce his son’s sentence, the father goes undercover to serve up a senior drug dealer. The story is based on a Frontline documentary.

In a part that was reconfigured from male to female, Sarandon will play an ambitious U.S. attorney who believes that a drug bust can help her political career.

Waugh rewrote the script by Justin Haythe. The project has been long in development and at one point was set up at New Line with Carl Franklin directing one iteration.

Nigel Sinclair, Guy East and Alex Brunner are producing. David Fanning, Dany Garcia and Johnson are also producing.

A little WWE history for you all The Rock competed in Hell in a Cell at the ppv Armageddon back on December 10, 2000 in Birmingham, Alabama against Kurt Angle  vs. Steve Austin vs. Triple H vs. The Undertaker vs. The Rock vs. Rikishi in a Six Man Armageddon Hell in a Cell match for the WWF Championship. Kurt Angle would go on to retain his title but this was The Rock’s first ever hell in a cell match and the talent line  up was amazing. WWE.com has up a feature about the match as well

WWE Hall of Famer looks forward to WrestleMania 28 Miami

Soulman Rocky Johnson wasn’t surprised at the news that his son, Dwayne, was returning for some appearances with WWE earlier this year.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson will even main event WWE WrestleMania 28 against John Cena on April 1 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens. He is also expected for a ring return during WWE’s Survivor Series pay-per-view in November at Madison Square Garden.

“He went out a champion, [and] it’s in his blood,” Rocky Johnson said. “It was in his grandfather’s blood. It’s in my blood. He is never going to get rid of it. Once you get into this business it stays with you through your whole life — whether it’s wrestling or being a manager or an agent. I’ve been in it for more than 30 years.

“It’s what he wants. I wouldn’t want him to do it on a full-time basis though. I told him, ‘You go back once or twice a year, or once every couple of years, because it’s in your system.’”

In between limited sports entertainment gigs, The Rock continues to make movies, a bona fide Hollywood movie star.

Johnson believes his son has nothing to prove in his former full-time profession.

“Nobody really accomplished what he accomplished in that short length of time [in WWE and Hollywood],” Johnson said. “He went on to be a champion within six months and went on to be a multiple time world champion. He went to Hollywood, and he is one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood. What more can I say? I’m the happiest dad in the world.”

The legend took great pride in watching The Rock’s growth as a performer first-hand. Johnson gave him advice that he took to heart, and Rock used it to make himself successful in all forms of entertainment. Continue reading »

Got some more twitter pics on Dwayne filming G.I Joe 2. Today there were filming at the Michoud Assembly Facility (Lockheed Martin) on Old Gentilly Rd in New Orleans and around Lafayette Square in New Orleans. Tomorrow they will be at Poydras and Carondelet as well.

The Rock will  return to RAW before Survivor Series and appear on a few shows and as for the tag team match..as of this writing, CM Punk and Sheamus will be teaming up with the babyfaces against a team consisting of Alberto Del Rio, The Miz and R-Truth.

webmiss: I am wondering if the team they are going against will have Rock and Cena on it. Great news about him appearing before survivor series but I am gonna classify it as a rumor at this point until wwe confirms
