According to OLV As we reported, Tuesday (Nov. 22) was the last day of production on G.I. Joe 2 in New Orleans, but unfortunately the movie wrapped on a tragic note.
On Tuesday crew member Mike Huber was tearing down the set when a scissor lift tipped, leading to fatal injuries.
Paramount would not confirm details, but did provide a statement: “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the Huber family at this time. The safety of our cast and crew is our top priority and the studio is fully cooperating with all investigating agencies as they examine the circumstances surrounding this unusual accident.”

I am starting to think this guy is actually secretly an admirer of The Rock but anywho here’s another interview spit of him talking trash about The Rock on ESPN..he’s the champ now why is he so wound up in The Rock??
“”I don’t know if it’s some weird vanity project for him to come back and fraternize with us little people, but I appreciate it. If it puts more money in my bank account, that’s cool, even if I’m not a money guy. I’m very passionate about wrestling. This is what I do. I’m not leaving to go film movies. It’s just me and the rest of the crew, the men and women of the WWE who are on the road constantly, and I’m not the only one who is, I don’t want to say bitter, because I get it, it’s a business move where Dwayne comes in and people buy some pay-per-views, but it’s the attitude that gets to me.”
“He’s very bourgeoisie Hollywood, and I just wish he would say hello to people backstage and not act like he was above everybody. Cena doesn’t act like that. Cena sits and talks and fraternizes with everybody, but Dwayne just can’t be bothered. Then again, I don’t know if anyone really wants to hang out with him. He was in the ‘Tooth Fairy.’ If he’s so good at what he does, why doesn’t he impart some of that knowledge to the young guys and help out? I guess I’m just trying to figure out why he came back. I don’t think it’s money. I think he’s OK money-wise, so I don’t know.”
On who the fans want to see at Wrestlemania:
“I would rather see Austin/Punk, too. I would love to poll everybody who is going to order Wrestlemania and ask them, what would you rather see: Would you rather see Cena/Rock or Stone Cold/CM Punk? I’m biased, obviously, but I think we’d have a landslide victory. It’s up to Steve, really, but he’s certainly not going to do it this year. Honestly, if Steve Austin comes back to wrestling, he should be the main event of Wrestlemania, but he can’t right now, because Dwayne Continue reading »

Jrsbbq blog included some comments about The Rock this week:
I was impressed with how lean and yet how powerful the Rock looked at the Survivor Series. Plus, ‘the Great One’ looked quick as a hiccup.
I felt that Rock had ’it’ as in charisma the first time that we met which motivated us to sign Dwayne quickly. However, I never predicted that @TheRock would become the global star that he has worked diligently to become. Hard to believe that the young man that I signed to WWE, when he was essentially fund-less, has already made 18 films. Not to mention that Rock was able to return to MSG after 7+ years to perform at a high level as he did last Sunday night.
People who feel that Rock isn’t good for WWE are missing a helluva story unfolding as he brings amazing PR and media coverage to WWE not to mention that he sells lots of PPV’s of which everyone on the team benefits. I’ve actually had Tweets from fans that feel that Rock returning to WWE hurts the biz and other talents which I believe is completely wrong. Continue reading »

Dwayne is on the cover of UK based Power Slam magazine. I added a pic of the cover. Unfortunately I don’t believe we get the magazine here in the states
In this follow-up to the 2008 worldwide hit “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” the new 3D family adventure “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” begins when young Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson, reprising his role from the first film) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist. It’s a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret.
Unable to stop him from going, Sean’s new stepfather, Hank (Dwayne Johnson), joins the quest. Together with a helicopter pilot (Luis Guzmán) and his beautiful, strong-willed daughter (Vanessa Hudgens), they set out to find the island, rescue its lone inhabitant and escape before seismic shockwaves force the island under the sea and bury its treasures forever.
“Journey 2: The Mysterious Island,” is directed by Brad Peyton (“Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore”). It also stars Michael Caine as Sean’s grandfather, Alexander Anderson, and Kristin Davis as Sean’s mom, Liz Anderson. Continue reading »

Not only did The Rock score the pin over R-Truth The Miz in his tag bout against The “Awesome Truth” at Survivor Series but he nailed his WrestleMania opponent, John Cena, with a Rock Bottom after the match. He then spoke to the Madison Square Garden audience following the pay-per-view broadcast.
He started off his speech by saying “Can The Rock get some water? Jesus Christ!” The Rock told a ringside attendant “You better give The Rock some water, or I’ll kick your monkey ass.”
A loud chant then broke out with half the crowd chanting “You still got it!” while the other half chanted “Welcome back!” The Rock told the audience “to make up their damn minds.” He then addressed one-half of the crowd by saying “As far as you still got it, shit, I always had it!” Continue reading »

The Miz and R-Truth vs. The Rock and John Cena Results:
We go to the ring and out comes The Miz and R-Truth rapping. A “Cena sucks” chant starts right before Cena’s music hits and out he comes to mostly boo’s from the crowd. Cena salutes and runs to the ring. The crowd starts chanting for The Rock next as his music hits. Rock comes out to a massive pop from Madison Square Garden.
The bell rings and it’s going to be Rock starting out with Miz. They stare each other down as the crowd eats it up. They lock up and Rock applies a side headlock. Rock drops Miz with a shoulder and runs the ropes. Rock with a big arm drag. Truth comes in and Rock takes them both out with arm drags. Rock tosses Truth to the floor and rolls Miz up for a 2 count. Miz rolls out to the floor to regroup with Truth as the crowd pops for Rock.

Jrsbbq blog has some thoughts about The Rock posted in this weeks blog:
The return Sunday on PPV of Dwayne ’The Rock’ Johnson has many in the sports entertainment world buzzing. @TheRock will jump start PPV buys for this Survivor Series in my opinion as the build to WM28 in Miami seems to be physically launching if you smell what I’m grilling.
Rock vs. @JohnCena on April 1. 2012 has WM28 being a hot ticket with over 43,500 tickets already sold and with some projecting that this mega event could gross around $9M in ticket sales when all is said and done in South Florida.
Will Rock have noticeable ring rust this Sunday after coming off a 7+ year absence away from the ring? Possibly to some degree but Rock is such an excellent, natural athlete who stays in top condition that most won’t detect significant ring rust.
I expect some Rock/Cena fireworks at some point Sunday night but have no idea when, where or how that might occur. I also expect Rock/Cena to win vs the Awesome Truth.
Congratulations Sabrina you are our February 2012 DJ fan of the month!
This is why she is Dwayne Fan of The Month:
‘I have been a fan of The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, since i have been 9 years old. Now being 24, i have grown to appreciate and look up to him not only as a role model , but as someone that i consider a HUGE influence of who i am today. I used to go to RAW and Smackdown as a young girl, crying over just being in the same room as him. My family would know to buy my only his merchandise for holidays and special events. To this day, people still admire me for my dedication as a fan, and my willingness to one day meet him in person. I dont even know what i would do if i did, i know someone would have to catch me when i fall, becuase i know i would be hitting the floor!”
