Paramount has released the official synopsis for the movie and poster:

A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. JOE: RISE OF THE COBRA, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with HASBRO and di Bonaventura Pictures, commences production on G.I. JOE: RETALIATION. In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.

Vin Diesel needn’t worry about job security over the next few years.

The sixth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise will be split into two movies, the 44-year-old star and producer announced Wednesday. Directed by Justin Lin, Diesel said the two scripts are being written simultaneously.

“With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space,” Diesel explained to The Hollywood Reporter. Continue reading »
