Mariana got to meet Dwayne at the Mexico premiere of Journey 2! She sent her pics and a story.

“Well, I was kind of Lucky, one of the most important person working in WB Mexico is a friend of the family so he gave us the “VIP“ tickets! They were not really vip it was like an ALL ACCESS PASS, but you were with the press, so I decided to move where all the other people were an he was really kind and took the time of signing some autographs, I was on the part of the security people so I got the chance of taking a picture with him! We talked like 10 seconds but it was so worth it! he´s a real gentleman, He is so handsome and respectful! What I know is that I was lucky cause no one else got a picture with him! I got to see the movie also and wow he sings again!! he´s so talented!’

Flicks and Bits Interview

In this follow-up to the 2008 worldwide hit ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth,’ the new 3D family adventure ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ begins when young Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson, reprising his role from the first film) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist. It’s a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret. Unable to stop him from going, Sean’s new stepfather, Hank (Dwayne Johnson), joins the quest. Dwayne Johnson thrilled students and teachers at his former high school while shooting Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in Hawaii by dropping by unannounced – to see if the old place had changed since he was a teenage tearaway.

The wrestler-turned-movie star grew up in Hawaii – and even landed a police record there following an arrest.

But he was treated like a returning hero when he showed up at his old school during a filming break.

He tells WENN, “It was a reflective moment driving through town looking at all the places that I got in trouble and arrested at for a multitude of things. The moment Dwayne Johnson stepped onto the platform, it was evident to all that he was a genuine ham and an entertainer at heart, pulling all the stops to make his audience laugh, whether flashing his wide, white smile, making his chest pop and dance or whipping out a ukulele to strum and sing—in Taiwanese, to boot.

Action star Dwayne Johnson and director Brad Peyton flew to Taipei for the premiere of “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.”  The film, which premieres in Asia ahead of the US, costars Josh Hutcherson (reprising his role from Journey to the Center of the Earth), Vanessa Hudgens, Kristin Davis, Luis Guzman and Michael Caine.

“Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” is the first film to utilize the updated version of the 3D camera developed by James Cameron and Vincent Pace for the film “Avatar,” as well as being the first live action film done with the Cameron-Pace technology.  It’s a lush, vivid film filled with laughs, touching moments and edge-of-your-seat excitement.
